New stitchers on the block!

Hi All,

And here they are. My two older girls have been bugging me a while to teach them how to to stitch. I picked up a kids kit and in it were two patterns printed on to 6ct aida so they are sort of stitch by numbers. It is a good idea as there is no pattern to follow so they can jump straight into the stitching.

Progress pictures will follow.

As for my own stitching it was back to Piper this week which means more 310 and 890 with a handful of other colors thrown in.(sorry for the bad photo)
On the plus side large chunks of color stitch up quickly so this page is should pass by quickly.

Santa has arrived

Hi All,

Well he sorta has in a patch of red down the bottom kind of way.
That is his elbow so finally I feel like progress is being made.

The cardigan  I'm knitting for Hannah is almost finished. I think I'm going to have to get one more ball of wool just to make it a little longer.
A large hot pink button to finish it off should do the trick. And after checking the name of the wool it is Moda Vera Sorbet.

Goodbye Waffle

Hi All,
We lost Waffle this week and I thought she deserved her own post. It was a bit hard to take with losing Buffy earlier this year most of all for the girls. Unfortunately  all our animals were/are about the same age so have all aged together. She was Keith's cat but for some reason I was the one she bugged for food all the time and she would sit in front of me at night time waiting for me to quit stitching and go feed her. She also recently learnt how to open the fridge by herself which ment barricading it so she couldn't.
We will all miss her.

Santa & Barbie

Hi All,

Here is the jolly old man(who is yet to make an actual appearance)

I also finished some Barbie dresses. Not completely loving the first three but the girls do so that's the main thing I guess. It's more the pattern as I quite like the wool.

Back to Hannah's cardi and Izzy this week:)

Back In Black

Hi All,

Here my update on Piper with nothing worked on but good old 310 with a few stitches done in 890.
Fascinating stuff right?lol. It will be back to Izzy next week so will see some color back.

Thank goodness for this with lots of colors to keep it interesting. I am just past the sleeves now. Although the pattern says to knit for another 14cm I usually like to make the backs a little longer to keep the kids warmer.
Have a great weekend,Sharine

New start off a different kind

Hi All,

A couple of week ago I started a cardigan for Hannah and keep forgetting to show it.
The pattern is called Kina and you find it here. The website is in French but if you run it through Google translate it is pretty easy to follow. Or if you are a member of Raverly you can find it on there. It is a bit of a difference from Barbie dresses where I usually cast on between 50 or so stitches to this where I'm currently working on 278. Although that said it is knit in one piece so it's not as bad as it seems.
The wool is from spotlight and I can't remember what it is called so will report back on that bit of info.( I keep thinking Sorrento?)

Santa is also a bit further along and is driving me a little nuts. I think it's the colors at the moment which are a bit drab.
Back to Piper tonight so look out for an update featuring nothing but black and 890:)
Cheers,Sharine

What one more for the stash?!

Hi All,

First for my stitching this week. Up On The Rooftop ornament. Not to much progress as on Friday night Hannah got a high temperature and was up all night. On to the doctors Saturday morning to find out the poor little thing had an ear infection as well as a throat infection. Some antibiotics have cleared it up but on the weekend all she wanted was cuddles from Mum.

Princess Izzy came back out.

And after some backstitching on Floral Beauty H will be finished.

And finally incase you didn't know HAED are having a 45% off Mothers Day sale where I picked this up. Cherish by Hannah Lynn.
Cause really what's one more at this stage?lol
Cheers,Sharine

New Start!(at last)

Hi All,

Finally made one of my new starts this week. This is Piper Tir N Org. Looking lovely in mainly black.
The next few columns are all black with a bit of 890 in it. At least it should stitch up quick. I will work on it once more tonight and then switch back to Izzy next week.

Santa is coming along and the doll is mainly finished and a little toy solider is peeping out.
And in more knitting madness I finished these two off for a friend. I think I might start trying to sell a few on etsy or something like that.
And that's about all from me so have a great weekend!
Cheers,Sharine
