Goodbye 2011

Hi All, So not only are we farewelling 2011 but I also turned 30 today so time to start growing up I guess.(not really). I thought I would see what I had done this year so here we go. When I started this blog back in April
this is what Faery Tales looked like
And for the end of this year
I started Princess Izzy
and got it to here
I don't have a full photo of Floral Beauty so will take one on Monday night.
My only finishes were the disney ones I done for my girls.

They are all framed up and hanging on their walls now.Personally I had a fairly good year. The only downer was when one of liitle dogs died in July. He was 12 years old. I had had him since he was 6 weeks old and still miss my Freddie boy.
I hope you all have a great new year,Sharine

My Christmas

Hi All, I hope everyone one had a wonderful Christmas. The girls had a wonderful day and it;s now official Barbie has taken over our house.

And outside on their new scooters( they also got new helmets to go with their scooters) and ride-on pony

We spent Christmas at home with my Dad and Keith's parents. After eating way to much at lunch, tea was just leftovers and salad with everyone helping themselves as they felt like it.

2012 WIPocalypse List

Hi All, First for a quick update. First up Princess Izzy.
And the afghan. My search for blanc dmc continues and I think I may just get it of ebay and be done with it.

And for my WIPocalpse list.
Faery Tales- I hope to finish next year. I have 13 pages left but only 6 of those are full pages with the rest being half pages so fingers crossed.
Princess Izzy- Probably will not be a finish but I will continue on her.
Floral Beauty-  Will continue to work on that slowly.
I also want to do some Christmas ornaments but am undecided what pattern just yet.

I finally finished my Christmas shopping on the weekend and know have toys stashed everywhere around the house away from the girls. My poor sister on the other hand had her Christmas lay-by lost and had to start over again.
Hope you all have a great week leading up to the big day, Sharine

Kinder Graduation

Hi All, It doesn't seem like that  long ago when I dropped my first born of at kinder and on Wednesday night she graduated.
She is now set to go to school and already counting down the days. On the other hand I could definitely wait a little longer.
For her graduation/concert night we had to bring a plate to share so I made some teddy bear sleighs that the kids loved.
Super easy. Just melt some chocolate to join the mini candy canes to the bottom of the milky ways and then dip the bottom of the teddy in the chocolate and gently press their legs into the milky way. I put coconut on the plate for snow. Depending on the candy canes you get you might have to trim them back a bit.
And for Faery Tales I finished another page so now I'm down to 13 pages.

Bits and Pieces...

Hi All,
Here is Princess Izzy after another night.
And we finally got our Christmas tree up complete with playpen(and assorted mess around it) to stop little fingers.

We have had a playpen around our tree for the last 5 years to stop the little people but unfortunately it doesn't keep our cat Waffle out, who has made it her hobbie to take the decorations of to play with.
And here are some more decorations made by Bella for the tree.

Moving along...

to Princess Izzy. It is now a green and black blob. Bella asked me last night if it would be finished in time for Christmas. Ummmm...no.
And on to the daffodil. The daffodil part would be finished if I could find some white dmc. Three different stores and none to be found.I still have to add the 'D' and backstitch.

Cheers from a beautiful day in Australia,Sharine

Hi All, Here is Faery Tales again.
My ladies had something against Faery Tales this week as on the nights I sat down to work on it they took it in turns to wake up. Ahhh the joys of children!

Hi All,
The green blob has now grown to include some black on Princess Izzy.
And it was the afghans turn to have some green on it.

Faery Tales continues...

Bella's first orientation day went very well. Out of the 19 children in her class she knew about 8 of them. By coincidence I used to go to school with her new teachers children back in primary school. And just like that I felt about 5 again. She goes again next Wednesday. As for me I am of to the dentist this afternoon and then on to Bella's last dance class of the year.
Have a good weekend,Sharine

Just another update...

on Floral Beauty...
which now has a bit of colour. And on Princess Izzy the green blob grows...
And my own Princess Izzy has her first orientation day on Wednesday for school next year. I can't believe she is old enough to go but she can't wait and is so excited to finally be able to. Lucky for her to is a couple of her mates from kinder are going to the same school. At least I still have my other two ladies to keep me entertained during the day!

Faery Tales Update

Hi All, Here is Faery Tales again for another week.
And I even finished some more barbie dresses for Bella and Charlotte.
And here is a photo of my second project that I ever done. Kustom Krafts Fire'N'Ice. I stitched the entire background black because I thought aida only came in white.
One day I plan to stitch Golden Ice but reverse the image so that they face each other.
Have a great weekend,Sharine

TUSAL

Hi All,
If you head over to Its Daffycat blog you will see all the info for joining in on The Totally Useless Stitch-A-Long. I just joined and it's looks like  fun.
And while I'm here thanks to everyone who pointed out the the last photo from my last post is actually a baby hedgehog. Still just as cute and lesson learned not to trust Google images(or at least not to choose images without checking them first.)  The echinda from kinder ended up with wildlife rescue who said they would take it out and release it back into a better spot.

A new start!

Hi All, After some resistance from the three little ladies to go to sleep last night I finally got to start Princess Izzy by Hannah Lynn. A big blob of green. I am doing this on 20ct aida.
The picture of it is on the right.
Bella had an exciting day at kinder today. When the kids went into the storeroom to get some toys out they found an echidna . I wish I had the camera as it was a fairly large one. The teacher planned to release it on her way home tonight out of town.
and while searching for a picture of one I found this totally cute baby picture of one.
Cheers,sharine

Faery Tales Update

Hi All, Here is Faery Tales again.
This Sunday I am planning on starting Princess Izzy just for a break on Faery Tales. So from Monday to Saturday it will be Faery Tales and for Sunday night Princess Izzy on 20ct aida.  Hopefully this will make it up to my own Princess Izzy as Isabella still goes on about the green haired mermaid taking Ariel's spot in Faery Tales. Thank goodness Snow White sort of resembles the Disney version(at least in her eyes)!Floral Beauty will get worked on whenever my mother-in-law is out of the house.
And just for one small vent- I really wish people would keep their dogs locked up in their own yards. Now that the weather has been getting nicer I have been walking Bella to kinder. After dropping her off my other two daughters and I started to walk home we got followed by a large black dog and while he was friendly enough(at one stage he knocked of someone's ball out of their yard and dropped at my feet to throw it) Charlotte just doesn't like dogs any larger then our fox terriers so she piggy backed home while I pushed the pram. Nothing like a bit of weight training. A bit closer to home and their were three more dogs taking themselves for a walk.
Now I'm off to make breakfast for my three little girls after the littlest one decided everyone needed to be awake at 5:15am by squealing.

Bella's Finish and WIP

Hi All, So what happens when you combine these?
You get one of these
proudly made by Isabella
Incase you are wondering they are perler beads and have proved so popular with Bella that we went to spotlight and brought this Cinderella kit
and her wip so far Cinderella's coach
They are a great craft for kids, fairly cheap- the candy cane board was $2 and I got 1000 beads for $5. The candy cane uses  approximately 50 beads so plenty of christmas gifts there. Cinderella cost me $10 and for that I got the square bead board and enough beads to do the coach,Cinderella, Jaq and Gus. The only help she needed from me was the ironing(which makes Keith laugh as I never any other time unless I need to for crafts). The ironing makes the beads fuse together. Just make sure there is a sheet of baking paper between your iron and the beads. The boards are reusable and after checking ebay there are a lot of great kits. And it's not just for kids either. Just click here to see a great Simpson project. The link will also take you to a cool gaming craft chat board with lots of cool craft.
And before I go one more photo just because I love her so!
my not so little baby girl anymore Hannah
Cheers,Sharine
