Izzy & Knitting

Hi All,

Here is Izzy for this week.
It's amazing how long you can be working on something and things still pop up that you haven't noticed. In this case I didn't realize she had a lantern near her until I started stitching yellow/golds and had to recheck it lol.

In knitting news here are some of my latest finishes. Apparently kitchen towels with hangers ares still very popular. Last market I took half a dozen with me as I'd had a couple of people asking after them. They sold in the first hour and I ended up taking orders for more. Here are a few of them. I think I've knitted up another 10 apart from these and could even do them in my sleep at this point.

And to break them up a it I've still been doing Barbie dresses.

Piper, Barbie Dresses & New Charts

Hi All,

Piper is still growing a bit slower at the moment thanks to confetti central.( Must be to make up for all that sky)

I also finished this latest lot of Barbie dresses.

The one in the middle was lucky to get made as when I was winding the sequin yarn into a ball Miss Polly cat couldn't resist 'helping' me and got it into the biggest mess ever! If it's not the kids it's the cat lol.

And the lovely Crafty Princess rak'ed me these charts.
Generations by Laurie Prindle
And Celia by Hannah Lynn
Thankyou Alicia. I am seriously tempted to finish Rudolph of and start Generations instead of doing the other three charts in the series. Decisions, decisions...

Piper

Hi All,

Would you believe I finally got up to the Piper this week.

And this week the girls requested that their Barbies be covered a little more and being the superstar mum that I am(and letting the washing pile up in the process) I knitted these up for them.
I got the pattern of here and it is pattern A58.
I did change needle size to 3.25mm and I used 4ply baby wool. I also cast off the undies/bikini bottom  using 3.75mm as they were a bit hard for the girls to slide up and down.

Bit of everything

Hi All,

Bit 1- A teddy has started to make his way on to Santas sack. I love how you can be stitching away and see nothing and all of a sudden something pops out.

Bit 2- More Barbie dresses have been made for my stall next month.(It's now official and paid for. Don't know whether to be scared, nervous, excited or all three)

Bit 3- About 12 months ago I brought some self covering buttons with the intention of making hair elastics. Today I finally got around to making them after Bella found them tucked away.

I can see these being a bit addictive so I'm sure more are to follow. Plus as you can see some little fingers thought them quite nice as well.

Happy Birthday Bella!

Hi All,

Here is my birthday girl Isabella(Izzy to her mates) who turned the big 7 on the weekend.

She had a great weekend and had her party at McDonalds.

Here are my latest Barbie creations. I'm planning on having a stall at the local craft market later in the year so need to stock up.

I also worked on Santa this weekend. His face is coming in nicely.

Barbie dresses

Hi All,

Thanks for the nice words on Faery Tales yesterday. It is going to be hung up on the weekend on the main wall in the lounge room.
Hannah is a lot better now and back to finding/causing trouble wherever she goes lol.

I finished some more Barbie dresses this week.
I was going to add some lace to the top of the dress as well but thought maybe it would be a over the top. Then again they are Barbie dresses.

And Piper turn was this week. I don't know if you can see it or not but there seems to a bit of a difference in the new black skein I started. Hubby can't see it. I can but I also know where to look. In any case I'm not pulling all the black out and will just keep going. I've never worried about dye lots before but might start paying closer attention now.

Cheers,Sharine

Barbie dresses x 3

Hi All,

As usual when I knit Barbie dresses they come in threes. This is the first time I have knitted using lace and I think it makes for a pretty finish.
After I finished them I went on a bit of a lace buying spree so expect to see some more soon.
These are just my own made up pattern. I am going to write it out in the next couple of days and I will post here.

Santa has a cuff now and I changed the Krenik out for B5000. So it will end up a little less sparkly but nevermind.

Knitting finishes

Hi All,

Barbies wardrobe has expanded again with these three finishes. I came up with the patterns by myself.
And I would just like to say the hair is done by my girls who like to go for the' haven't seen a hairbrush since I got out of the box look'.

This weekend it was Santas turn for some stitching on so here is Up On The Rooftop ornament.

Santa & Barbie

Hi All,

Here is the jolly old man(who is yet to make an actual appearance)

I also finished some Barbie dresses. Not completely loving the first three but the girls do so that's the main thing I guess. It's more the pattern as I quite like the wool.

Back to Hannah's cardi and Izzy this week:)

New Start!(at last)

Hi All,

Finally made one of my new starts this week. This is Piper Tir N Org. Looking lovely in mainly black.
The next few columns are all black with a bit of 890 in it. At least it should stitch up quick. I will work on it once more tonight and then switch back to Izzy next week.

Santa is coming along and the doll is mainly finished and a little toy solider is peeping out.
And in more knitting madness I finished these two off for a friend. I think I might start trying to sell a few on etsy or something like that.
And that's about all from me so have a great weekend!
Cheers,Sharine

All the stuff

Hi All, Bit of a mixed bag today. First of all, I finally finished my crochet jumper just in time for the end of winter here in Australia. ...
