Ghosts & More

 Hi All,

Hope everyone's stitching week is going well!

Ghosts is making steady progress now sitting on 63.79% complete and I'm still on track to get to 75% by the time we are waving 2026 off.

I have also developed a taste for canvas work. I finished this piece called My Sunlit Garden from Freda's Fancies on Etsy.

And am now working on Ambrosia Honey from Karen Steklasa Matze which has been an enjoyable challenge.

Unfortunately, I am finding it hard to come across patterns in Australia and buying them in from overseas is a little expensive so am relying on the PDF's that I find.

Happy stitching everyone!

New start!

 Hi All,

Hope everyone has been keeping well and getting lots of stitching in.

This week I worked on Looney Tunes and am starting to get to Sam. It's now on 34.20% complete.

Also Medicine Horse came out for a run and is now 10.58% complete.

And my new start isn't a cross stitch but a stumpwork piece. Once a month I go to the lovely Bella Fabrics for an embroidery class from Ana Mallah and learn some new techniques. This piece is called Heartsease & Honesty by Jane Nichlos and you can find the pattern in The Handpicked Collection 5

I've started with the pansy petals and am using au ver a soie d'alger threads for the first time. They are beautiful to work with. (And so, another thread collection begins!)

I'm enjoying this new technique very much.

Happy Stitching everyone!

Mish Mash

 Hi All,

I got to have Chinese New Year back out this week and now have it at 2.17% complete. Loving the bright colours in this one.

The Storyteller also moved past 100,000 stitches as well as moving into the second row. She is now on 12.14%

And for a change up here are a couple of pictures of my new rigid heddle loom and the blanket that's on it. Can't wait to learn more and as is the case with everything getting my tension right is going to be the learning curve.

I also went to a destash market and picked up these beauties.

So now it looks like my next crafty adventure will be hardanger so I can make those beautiful dolls. Any tricks or hints?

Till next time, happy crafting!
