Izzy and the Afghan

Hi All, I finally got to work on my afghan and finished putting in the white stitches and started the backstitching.
And Izzy grew a little more.
And finally a big hello to my new followers and a huge thankyou for the lovely comments. I can't always reply to them (three kids will do that) but I do appreciate them.

Yiota's X stitch kit review

Hi All, A couple of weeks ago I got an email from Yiota from Yiota's cross stitch asking if I would like a review a kit. Naturally I said yes please and chose Arab Mother Love.
I have always loved this chart. The kit is excellent. The pages are large and clear and the kit comes with everything you need. The fabric, needle, the floss pre-wound on to bobbins and instructions that are very well written.
These kit would be great for someone who wanted to move up to something larger as they contain all full cross stitch and no backstitching. So check out the website Yiota's cross stitch kits  .

I also had a new start last night with something quite not so large. In the newest issue of Stoney Creek magazine they have started there new Christmas ornament series called Santa's boys toys and this issue has him on a tractor and a motorbike.
I started the tractor for my DH as he loves going to tractor pulls and watching them on TV (much to the boredom of the girls). I had to start it twice as I had started stitching the red where the beige should be.

This is what I will be working on Saturday nights( such a glamorous life I lead ) and since it's only 56 by 56 stitches this way I am guaranteed a finish this year.

I now have a man...

Hi All, On Faery Tales. And apparently he doesn't like fish.
And unfortunately HAED are having another sale and so to support the cross stitch industry I had to buy the following charts. First one Hannah Lynn-Melinda and Moohoo
And The Enchanted Christmas Reindeer- Dona Gelsinger
This one will be my next after Faery Tales is finished. DH even suggested that I could put Faery Tales down and start it now. I politely let him know what he could do with his suggestion.
Hope you all have a great weekend,Sharine

TUSAL post

Hi All, Here is my first TUSAL post. I can't believe how quickly my jar filled up in 23 days.So here it is(with my messy kitchen as a back drop). I am using a Santa jar that was filled with chocolate but was emptied by New Year's.
And Izzy came out for Sunday night. One day it might look like something.

Faery Tales Update

Hi All, It's a bit cooler today here so the kids have been playing outside and leaving the house looking like I do actually clean it. This week I have been trying to get Bella's school things ready and I think I have managed to get everything. Picking out her school bag was a bit of an ordeal. After spending 30 minutes waiting for her to chose she finally went with a Barbie bag and a Disney Princess lunch bag.
Faery Tales is going well although there is a bit of confetti on this page.
Hope you all have a great weekend,Sharine

Izzy and some Barbie dresses

Hi All, It's definitely summer in Australia today. And of course I had to go out and pick up Bella's school books/supplies today. Thank goodness I got there early and their was no queue.
In Princess Izzy news I actually got to put down the green and brown and stitch 4 stitches in purple.
For some reason the material looks a bit grubby in the photo.
I also finished some sparkley dresses for the girls Barbie dolls.
And as you can see in the corner of the photo Bella's beading obsession is continuing. She asked me last night if I could empty out one of my floss boxes because she needed somewhere to keep her 'stash'. So I guess I know what I will be buying for her next.

12 to go

Hi All, One more page of Faery Tales bit the dust this week so now I'm down to 12 pages.
I also got my Christmas present from my dad which was a nice large parcel from 123 stitch.I got 3 Stoney Creek Christmas books, a cupcake ornament kit and two Lizzie Kate snippets.

And Bella's latest beading creation. A beaded necklace with her name on it.

Like any good crafter she has two more on the go with plans for more.
Our dogs seem to have settled down and are getting along now.

Faery Tales continues...

Hi All, Here is my weekly update on Faery Tales. Hopefully (kids willing) I can finish this page by next week which will leave me with 12 pages to go.
In other news our two little dogs who have lived together quite peacefully for the past 11 years decided that they didn't like each other so much anymore and got into a fight. Jack come of second best and has a nasty gash underneath his right eye which has to be cleaned twice a day. Just because I don't have enough  to do to fill in my day. I'm not sure what started the fight. We did try and keep them apart after it happened but they just fretted for each other. So I guess we will to wait and see what happens.
Also Kaye at kitten stitching is having a giveaway. Very cute patterns.

Happy New Year!

Hi All, I hope everyone had a great new year. We had a quite one. Bella flaked about 11:30 so maybe next year she will see the new year in. I started my new year stitching on Princess Izzy.
And here is a photo of where Floral Beauty is up to
A close up of 'D'. All the cross stitching is done except for a handful of white stitches. I ended up ordering a skein from 123 stitch as no one had it here. And of course I couldn't just get the cotton so picked up a couple of books as well but will show them later. I have made a small start on the backstitch.
And finally some more Barbie dresses that I made for the girls for Christmas but forgot to show.

Cheers,Sharine
