2013 Plans & New Stash

Hi All,
Almost at the end of another year. Next year will be exciting with Charlotte starting kinder and Bella going into grade one which will leave me with Hannah to run around after. I always thought when the girls started kinder/school and growing up I would have some more time but no. It seems like I'm never out of the car sometimes. Still it's great watching them grow in to being there own little people.

My stitching plans for next year are to finish Faery Tales by no later then March. When it is finally done the plan is to start 2 more HAED designs and swap them out with Princess Izzy on a weekly basis. At the moment I am going to start Piper Tir N Org
And Little Miss Deelish and Sweet Treats Trixie
Little Miss will be for Charlotte so if there is another Hannah Lynn with a unicorn on it released during the year I will have a fourth start so I have one going for Hannah.
And incase you hadn't heard HAED are having another sale with 45% off. I contributed some of my Christmas money to it and got these three.
Too Hot
QS Kissy Fish- Hannah Lynn
Up On The Rooftop ornament
The last one I am planning on doing for DH for next Christmas(sorry didn't mean to scare you lol). Every year we buy each other an ornament for the big day but this year fingers crossed I can surprise him with this. I have brought some 25ct lugana to stitch it on so any tips or tricks for that would be much appreciated.

Thankyou to everyone who has read and commented on this blog this year. It is my retreat from the girls for a couple of minutes during the day and if I have had a short post you can bet it is because I can hear someone calling out 'Mummmm'.

I hope everyone has an awesome New Year!

Cheers,Sharine

I will leave it for this year up to 'G' and some pictures of it all together

And finally I finished 7 out of 8 Santa's Boy Toy oranments

The eighth one looks like this and will be my first finish for the new year
So that was my stitchy year. I will be back with my new goals for next year in my next post.

And so that was Christmas!

Hi All,
Rather then make one huge post tomorrow with everything I thought I would break it up.
The girls had a great day getting spoilt.

Our Lalaloopsy population exploded with 5 new ones added as well as a bunch of 'pocket size' ones.
And a huge thankyou to Abbie Jean who not only brought the dolls you see in the last two photos but she also made them all outfits to go with them. I am hoping our Christmas tree doesn't have to live behind bars next year. I done well with a new handbag (after just using a nappy bag for the last six years) some new clothes and $50 for new stash. Keith wasn't game enough to guess what I wanted in the end lol.

As for Keith amongst other things he got a nerf gun and spent most of the day taking aim at the Christmas tree as well as making plans with our 20 year old neighbour to have a nerf gun rooftop 'war' just proving that boys never grow up.

I will be back tomorrow with the last Wipocalypse report for the year.

A finish!

Hi All,
I got my last finish in for the year. Snowmobile Santa on 14ct aida.
So I got to start on the last one which won't be finished in time for Christmas but never mind.
Helicopter Santa on 14ct aida.

Not to much got done on Princess Izzy this week but it all counts.
I was also lucky enough to win a chart on Facebook by sharing a Christmas memory which was of when  my sister and I were little girls. We got up on Christmas morning to open pressies(of course) and afterwards when we checked to see if Santa had eaten his cookies, the cookies were gone and in there place were a set of false teeth. We were both horrified that Santa would be without his teeth for the whole year. Of course we later found out it was our grandfather who had left them there. He had the best sense of humor:) The chart I chose was Merry Mindy by Hannah Lynn.

Hi All,

Another page for the rubbish bin last night. I now have 4 pages left with the one I started the last full page.
I wish I could sit for the week and do nothing but stitch but oh well.

TUSAL - The last one!

Hi All,

The girls will be happy as now they can have it all. Not to sure what they have planned but kinda have a feeling it will be strewn through the house by nightfall.

Santa & Izzy

Hi All, Is everyone ready for the big day yet?  I'm definitely not lol. We are planning to go shopping on the Friday before Christmas (which is Bellas last day of school). The crowds should be lots of fun but the longer I don't have to hide toys for the better:)
On to some stitching. Princess Izzy had a purple flower added to her hair.
And after adding some words Snowmobile Santa will be finished for next week.
Have a great week,Sharine

Faery Tales & A Question

Hi All,
First up the monster that is Faery Tales.
Almost done with this page which leaves 4. Only one of them are a full page. The finished size will be 31" by 24".
And now for the question. Has anyone stitched a Golden Kite pattern? I have my eye on one of these three.(At the moment. I haven't had time to go through the site yet)

In order they are An Afternoon Entertainment, Mother Playing With Her Baby and Pierrot's Embrace.
Are they any harder then a HAED? Much the same? Anything I should know?
Cheers,Sharine

Everything else

Hi All,
As much as I love this time of year  I really don't like the mad rush it brings to get everything done.
At least I have my cross stitch to keep me sane(sort of).
I added more green to Izzy
I finished the stitching on Snowmobile Santa and started the backstitch
And I finished the other leaf on Floral Beauty and if you look above it and squint your eyes you might see a few dozen white stitches
HAED had another awesome sale this week. I picked up another Hannah Lynn this time. Pearl Princess.
This week at Charlotte's request we took the girls to see Santa. We waited patiently in line for about 20 minutes(better then last year when the wait was around a hour) and when we got to the front Charlotte decided against it, Bella jumped straight on to his knee and didn't let poor Santa get a word in and as for Hannah she let out a scream that made everyone turn around to see who was getting killed and didn't stop screaming until we were out of sight of him. I'm sure one day I will have a nice Santa photo of the three of them.
Cheers, Sharine
