Hi All,
Here is the man this week. I finished page 12 this week leaving me with 16 to go.
And Consumed has more...brown...
Even though I have been knitting since forever I have never tried cables because they looked way to hard. That is of course except my nan who could knit the most intricate cable patterns while barely looking down. So I found this basic one and had a go and found out they are really not that scary. But to make it easier I think I will be buying a cable needle as a safety pin, while it got the job done, was not making the job any easier lol.
The pattern came from mariannas lazy daisy days . It is a great blog full of patterns if you are into baby/child knitting.
I've also been a really good girl for the past couple of months by downsizing some of my pattern stash(please tell me I'm not the only one who buys all those cross stitch magazines and never stitches anything out of them) so to reward myself and make up for it I brought these two supersize charts from Heaven And Earth Designs.
Supersize Cinderella
Supersize Heros and Heroines Bookshelf
They come with the added bonus of being pdf's so no room taken up lol
Cheers, Sharine
Loving the progress on Consumed. Great new chart choices!
ReplyDeleteGreat progress Sharine. The hat is adorable and I really love your new charts. Yes, I subscribe to several cross stitch magazines and never stitch anything out of them. I guess I just like to look at the pictures. lol

Ooo great new stash they're both on my wish list! I think I'd get that bookshelf first. Can't wait to see your progress on these!
ReplyDeleteHmmm, I think I can follow the logic in that argument! I used to stitch almost solely from cross stitch magazines, there were some issues that I would stitch 2 or 3 medium sized pieces from, but then I discovered blogs and now have a cupboard stuffed full of stash!
ReplyDeleteGreat new stash!! Cinderella looks beautiful :)
ReplyDeleteWonderful stitching and knitting!
ReplyDeleteI have LOADS of magazines that I've never (nor will I ever) stitched from....you're not alone:)
I love both new charts. I have them both in my wish list.
Gorgeous work 😀
ReplyDeleteI love knitting cables - they are so much fun and I love the texture:) And your new chart are gorgeous - but the 'supersize' bit sounds very scary to me...ha ha!
ReplyDeleteImagine you're almost 1/2 done Piper!!! Way to go!
ReplyDeleteOh zo wonderful!!!
ReplyDeleteLovely stitching! That Cinderella chart is gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteI've never tried cable either as it looked too difficult. But I'll take a leaf out of your book and give it a whirl. And yes I have heaps of Halloween special cross stitch mags and have not even come close to stitching anything from them. But the pictures are pretty cool LOL! Nice progress on Piper and Consumed too. Loving your new Aimee's too. This Supersizing is crazy huh? xo Alicia
